Narayana Maharaja on ISKCON Devotees

BY: PARASURAM DAS

Dec 14, UK (SUN) — Here is a link to Narayana Maharaja's view on ISKCON. This video is so obvious that there is no need for me to explain. We found it very painful and contaminating to have to sit through the Barkingdog video when we were analysing it word for word. But nobody can defend this one:

Following on from Ameyatma prabhu's recent article, I have a question for Narayana Maharaja or his followers:

When is an initiation actually an initiation?

A disciple of Mahavishnu Swami recently got initiation by Narayana Maharaja. He's a friend of mine and his logic is that he was only first initiated by Mahavishnu Swami and that is not real initiation - only brahman initiation is real initiation. He said this was the Gaudiya Math standard, and had plenty of sastric quotations to back it up, quoting Bhaktivinoda Thakur, etc.

Later that evening I put on one of Yadubar's DVDs – "Following Srila Prabhupada". Jaysta devi dasi was speaking about her initiation (Harinama initiation). For her, it was the most important day of her life. She cried all the way through it. I thought to myself, now that's initiation. The acceptance of the Spiritual Master - whether its siksa or diksa.

So when Narayana Maharaja initiates all these unqualified devotees, the smokers, drug addicts, etc. - are they initiated, or what? Recently one devotee in the town of Glastonbury was asked to take initiation. This disciple was not chanting japa and had a greenhouse full of cannabis plants.

In Ireland, I remember Govinda Maharaja visiting once - initiating at least 20 people (our congregation) and leaving, never to return. I know two of the newly initiated who celebrated by drinking beer in a pub. So I am unclear of what the previous Acarya said -- is first initiation a real initiation, or what?

I find it wonderful how Srila Prabhupada's practice of Krishna consciousness always appears to me to be the most practical and logical way to do things. The mistakes of the Gaudiya Math only highlight the glories of Srila Prabhupada.

Your servant,
Parasuram das

For anybody who needs a conclusion philosophically or otherwise, I have put these links together. The philosophy of Narayana Maharaja has been proven to be misleading and false:
