"How Great Is Srila Prabhupada?"
01/13/2006

"If we enter the ocean by boat we can navigate our direction to a destination based on the stars. The stars are compared to so much knowledge found in the Vedas. One of those stars in the sky is called Dhruva-loka. In modern science Dhruva-loka is called the Pole Star or North Star. When we are in the ocean if we lose sight of that star, if we cannot see that star then we cannot benefit from all the other stars. We will be lost in the ocean. The Pole Star doesn't move. It is fixed in one place. As long as we can see the Pole Star, which never moves, than we can determine so many things by the other stars which are moving. But if we do not have a fixed bearing with the Pole Star then we are lost." Read full article.

Gadadhar Das said, "No one has written as much commentary on Srimad Bhagavatam as His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedant Swami Srila Prabhupada has written in history of last 5000 years of Sanatan Dharma."

I appreciate the mood Gadadhar, but what you have said is not true. Many Vaishnavas have commented on Srimad Bhagavatam but the fact is that Prabhupada only completed his commentary up to part of the tenth canto.Prabhupada and all these acharyas were great souls and represented Sri Vyasa Deva. For example Jiva Goswami wrote a complete Sanskrit commentary on Bhagavatam. Then he wrote a second separate commentary on just tenth canto without duplicating anything from his first commentary. Jiva Goswami actually wrote more original Vaishnava literature and commentary than any Vaishnava in history.

Please don't mind this coming from a woman.

No one has written as much commentary on Srimad Bhagavatam as His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedant Swami Srila Prabhupada has written in history of last 5000 years of Sanatan Dharma.

Even one sentence written by Srila Prabhupada can change the life of a reader.

His books are the greatest contribution to the world for years to come.

All glories to His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedant Swami Srila Prabhupada.
