We need to mobilize funds for commencing the construction activity at this holy temple. I felt that it would be good to share this information with our community through you to get immediate attention.

An appeal for constructing the second stage of
“Sri Viswaroopha Lakshmi Nrusimhar Swamy Temple"
Kattavakkam, Kancheepuram District

Introduction

We have great pleasure in informing you of the successful completion of the Sacred Installation of Sri Viswaroopa Lakshmi Nrusimha Swamy Moola Vigraham at 3.45 AM on Wednesday, the 2nd May 2007 coinciding with Chitra Pournami day and Swathi star on the 18th day of Chithirai month of the Tamil year ‘Sarvajith’ at Kattavakkam village, Walajabad, Kanchipuram district.

It is needless to say the great task was possible only with the great devotion, co-operation and enthusiasm given to us by ardent people like you. Since the day of installation with his abundant grace, Nithyotsava, Pakshotsava and Masotsava of the lord are being conducted, besides a few Sudarsana Yagnyams.

Upcoming activities planned for second stage of constructing the temple

The next stage now is to plan and organize for constructing a befittingly grand temple around this Lord, strictly meeting with the appropriate ‘Agama’ principles in the next few months inclusive of ‘Garbha Graham’, ‘Moolasthana Vimanam’, ‘Ardhamandapam’, ‘Maha Mandapam’, ‘Garudan Sannidhi’, ‘Dhvajasthambam’, ‘Bali Peetam’, ‘Garudasthambam’ and ‘Thirumadappalli’ in a phased manner at the earliest.

Current plan of action and its estimated cost

As further steps towards the construction of the temple our Sthapathy was approached for an estimate of the construction of Garbagraham, Ardhamandapam and Mahamandapam. According to him the total cost of constructions of this stage comes to around 1.50 crores rupees. We solicit your kind co-operation and enthusiasm as before for the implementation of this stage of construction. For your quick reference, we furnish here below the second stage of construction work and the estimated cost involved for fulfilling this assignment given by the Lord to be commenced in a short while.

There is no doubt that the divine hand which has been holding and taking us this far will take us further and lead all of us till the logical completion of this second stage.

Sponsorships for undertaking the costs of specific sub-projects during this second stage or donations in kind for the substantial quantities of bricks, cement bags, steel rods and wood required for the construction of the temple are also welcome and will be gratefully acknowledged.
