Padmalochan das Memory Program

BY: VRINDAVAN LILA DEVI DASI

Apr 04, SRIDHAM MAYAPUR, WEST BENGAL (SUN) — My husband, Padmalochan das, has passed from his body last week, 27th March, Dvadasi. He was worshipping Vrinda Devi and She took him on Her Day (Dvadasi). He left at the point when his bodily health started to improve... Audarya Dhama Prabhu was doing treatment that actually was visibly working and Prabhu's bodily condition was improving.

Doctors Saksigopal Prabhu, Bhahkta Andrey and Radha Raja Prabhu were sincerely contributing to his recovery at different times. Devotees also prayed for his recovery - we were very graetful for all spiritual, moral and financial support. Thank You all, who helped in any way. It is been noted and appreciated very much.

Srila Prabhupada called my husband at night close to the date he left.... me and Rajendranandana prabhu (from San Diego), who was helping with night care, actually heard Srila Prabhupada calling my husband's name two times loudly. Next day my husband told Jananivasa prabhu, "Last night Prabhupada had called me."

He left body on Dvadasi morning, just before that saying to me, "Look what's going on outside!" I went onto the veranda to see, saw nothing.... a few times coming back to him asking, what shall I see there? Then he just said, "Oh, why can't you see?!?" And left...

A Chinese mataji, Maitheli (an acupuncture doctor), was doing strong massage of his chest, trying to get him to breathe, while chanting Hare Krishna loudly. I was crying and calling him... calling Hare Krishna...

He came back for a short few moments, looked in the way as he was looking at everything here (as if comparing what kind life he has here if he stays, with what he was perceiving, which I could not see...) and taking one very deep breath he left....

He felt a lot of pain, seeing that Srila Prabhupada's movement isn't being developed true to the original mood that Srila Prabhupada gave... that Srila Prabhupada's direct instructions are neglected and even worse - manipulated and changed.... His attachment to Srila Prabhupada is un-measurably deep, he could never leave Prabhupada's movement for another. He had no interest in Maya's comfort either... so he moved on with Srila Prabhupada.

Now I am trying to increase my chanting (quite a bit) and read (never really had the time for it before...)

    * will try to publish (if lucky) his unfinished work on Navadvip book, Audarya Dhama
    * improved Udhava Sandesh (accurate translation from Sanskrit with expanded Notes) is already ready for printing.
    * also will try to re-print Gita Mahatmya, with illustrations (for the first time)
    * hoping to reprint Pada Sevana
    * also asked Bhakti Vidyapurna Swami to reprint Chintamani Dhama (Vrindavan parikrama), which Prabhu donated to Mayapur Gurukula
    * hoping to keep Madhurya Dhama in print (guide to Govardhan parikrama)

I am not sure if I will be sending picture/video updates any longer... not likely, but let's see what happens... I am preparing publications now, need sponsors for printing. Please let me know if you interested to contribute for printing of Prabhu's books.

Also, many devotees are asking me to write my husband's biography, but I was in his life only for the last 17 years, and that also in one aspect as a wife... I need more info to put together, from devotees who knew him at any times, had any service and association with him. Please write something if you knew him. I will include all the memories, realisations of him and biography into a publication of Prabhu's unfinished research work on Navadvipa Dhama.

Please, dear devotees, I beg your blessings to remain Krishna Conscious, accomplish publications I've mentioned above, and to join my husband again.

Thank you for your association, donations, blessings and prayers that many of you have bestowed upon us. Thank you for all your encouragement in our service.

Hare Krishna,

your servant,
Vrindavan Lila dasi
