JUS ONE Channel Makes U.S. Debut

Dish Network, the leader in international programming, today formally introduced Jus One, a spiritual channel from the JUS Broadcasting Group, the successful promoters of JUS Punjabi TV that also airs on DISH Network. The new channel is available exclusively in the U.S. to DISH Network customers.

JUS Broadcasting Corp's President & CEO, Penny Yogiraj Sandhu, and Senior Executive Vice President, Karl Khandalavala II hosted a glittering launch party and press conference on Feb 24.

The event was attended by more than 300 people including members of the media, advertisers and sponsors, community leaders and the JUS team. Ambassador Prabhu Dayal, Consul General of India in New York, and his wife Mrs. Chandni Dayal celebrated their 32nd wedding anniversary at the event.

In her remarks, Sandhu explained the rationale behind the new channel. "JUS One fills the need for a spiritual channel on Dish Network. As you know, most South Asians are spiritual or religious by nature and we have tailored the channel to meet their special programming interests covering all the major Indian religions. JUS One is proud to be the first and only South Asian spiritual channel currently offered by DISH to all its millions of subscribers."

Jus One, available on DISH Network Ch. 581, features spiritual and religious programming covering a cross-section of religions from India aimed at Hindus, Jains, Sikhs, Indian-Christians, Buddhists and all other viewers in general. Jus One programs include daily religious hymns, discourses, prayers, educational segments, yoga and daily live call-in programs on important religious and spiritual issues affecting Indian Americans and South Asians in the U.S. Among the programs already airing on the channel, JUS One features well-known names such as Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Acharya Sudhanshuji Maharaj, Acharya Parmodh, Kathas by Asaram Bapu, Morari Bapu, Srila Prabhupada ISKCON, Usha Bahen of Brahmakumaris and Kadve Pravachan by Muni Tarun Sagarji. The channel also features daily Vrath Katha and daily LIVE Call-In programs on interfaith, spiritual and social issues.
