Jayadeva and his wife Padmavati sing the enchanging song of Gita-Govinda

Dec 09, USA (SUN) — This month-long series explores text and manuscript illustrations from Gita-Govinda

We are now nearing the end of the Gita-Govinda's emotionally surcharged story of Radha and Krsna's lila pastimes. The focus shifts from their divine expressions of love in separation to their preparations for the inevitable reunion.

Krsna is seen preparing for Radha's arrival, as he arranges soft beds of boughs and creepers for her in the bower. Radha is shot with the arrows of love and makes her way, finally, to Krsna's side.
