New Article about HDG

BY: MALATI MANJARI DEVI DASI

Nov 06, USA (SUN) — On behalf of Hridayananda das Goswami I want to clarify some points addressed in Acaryavilasa's article, The Public Truth about Hridayananda dasa Goswami":

"1. I took up the Bhagavatam work because in a year and half after Srila Prabhupada's disappearence, almost nothing had been done. I personally invited Pradyumna Prabhu to participate in the project and he refused.

    2. I was asked to complete the Bhagavatam by the GBC, who Prabhupada authorized to manage ISKCON.

    3. I was the main GBC member and Guru, in the first years after Srila Prabhupada's disappearence who insisted on expanding the number of gurus, and indeed on allowing all Prabhupada disciples in good standing to initiate.

    4. Prabhupada asked me to do many things by letter and through messages given to others. I take all those instructions as valid."

A personal note on this: Why publish anything if it is not well researched? And if you publish it, you also need to publish those points. As for the Wikipedia entry: What is the use to criticize the expression: "Before his death" if you don't even know who the author is? And what is the connection with HDG in that regard? That is not good journalism.

Your servant,
Malati Manjari dd
