Clarification

BY: KESAVA KRSNA DASA

Sep 22, USA (SUN) — Firstly I want to say I did not 'succumb ' to either the ritvik nor the Gaudiya math scenario as you wrote. I think you misunderstood.

You said that Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu defeated the opposition in the religious and political arena. He did so because divine influence combined with Sastric authority won the day. Did I not say in the article that one could make absolute pronouncements?

If we discuss on a relative level religious and political issues they will end inconclusively. You only have to look at the present state of world affairs to know that relative pronouncements do not work. If you misunderstood it to mean otherwise, I suggest you hold back on your all-too-keen readiness to lash out at any given opportunity.

Again, throughout your analysis of my article, and others, any attempt to cast disdain on Iskcon devotees, or sections of them, is undoubtedly a motivating factor. You fail to see it, or do not want to due to habit.

If you say you are representing Srila Prabhupada nicely, why do you continually criticize? When convenient, you see fit to do this even though Srila Prabhupada himself advised against it.

No-one can improve on what Srila Prabhupada gave to us. Is there not a difference between the word - presentation; how we present Krsna consciousness as opposed to 'improving on the perfect 'as you say? You misunderstood again. Yet you say I am party to the watering down process, the eroding of all that Srila Prabhupada stood for.

An intelligent analysis is not fraught with myopic tendencies, but seasoned by a broadness rooted in brahminical awareness. I have to ask you - do you have anything nice to say about your godbrothers? Is there any positive trend you see within Iskcon? If so, perhaps you should highlight those. If not, then the moroseness continues along personal lines; the very thing you accused me of doing. We sense that you argue for the sake of it, in keeping with the modus-operandi. It serves you no purpose to infringe in this way. Yet you wonder why you feel ostracized.

If the truth must be told, why moan about all the negatives? I can assure you the numerous problems confronting us are acknowledged, though the zest for solving them may be mired in red-tape. Sooner or later the corrections will come.

The mention of your Godbrother HH. Giriraja Swami again, this time with reference to the Gopi-bhava club, further enhances the suspicion that you dredge up the past for the public to see. which is not quite a brahminical characteristic. Besides, even a reasonable uncle will not belittle a father in front of the son. This jibe pretty much sums up your approach. Not very nice at all.

Thank you,

Your servant,
Kesava Krsna dasa
