Back To The Point

Mar 05, USA (SUN) — Petition for the Release of Srila Prabhupada's Audio

We just want to hear all the unreleased recordings of Srila Prabhupada, simply because we love Srila Prabhupada. That's how it always has been and that how it always will remain. Every word from his lotus mouth is like a universe of nectar that maintains our very life and soul. This is the only purpose and motive behind this petition. Guru-mukha-padma-vakya, cittete koriya aikya, ar na koriho mane asa: My only wish is to have my consciousness purified by the words emanating from his lotus mouth.

It is unfortunate that the state of affairs has become so degraded to the point where the devotees of Srila Prabhupada, our Founder-Acarya, have to sign a petition to the Bhaktivedanta Archives in order to hear all Srila Prabhupada's teachings. Even with the well over 1,300 signatures in the short five day period that this petition has been available, the Archives still refuse to release the audio. How many more devotees signing this petition will it take for them to release the audio? Even though it's madness that we have to sign a petition in order to hear from our Acarya. This makes any reasonable, thoughtful person think that the Archives have something to hide.

For example: If a person at a store is observed putting some of the store's products in his coat, the security will naturally approach that person, "Dear Sir, we would like to see in your coat. We suspect that there is something that is not your property that you are concealing. Because you are a respectable gentlemen we ask that you kindly clear your good name by simply opening your coat. If there is none of our property within, then we will know that you have nothing to hide and you can continue about your business".

The natural response of any honest gentleman with nothing to hide would be to completely open his coat, showing his upright, straightforward dealings and clear his name from suspicion. On the other hand that person may tell the security, "I am sorry Sir, what's within my coat is my property and I refuse to show it to you. Please stop asking me to see in my coat!" The man under suspicion tries desperately in so many diplomatic ways to defend himself, but still refuses to do the one simple thing of opening the coat and letting it be known what is concealed within. Instead the person continues to argue and stall with the security man about whether or not he is hiding anything. He desperately tries to change the subject and get away. He glosses over the facts, but refuses to resolve the issue once and for all by simply opening his coat and proving his innocence.

Any intelligent person will understand by such behavior that he must have something to hide. If the person immediately reveals the concealed property, then the issue is over and everyone is happy.

We ask the Bhaktivedanta Archives to please reveal ALL the hidden audio in its entirety NOW and show everyone what moral and truthful devotees they are. Otherwise people may think so many things, about what is or is not on those tapes, but no one can say for sure until it is all released.

So in order to clear the good name of the Bhaktivedanta Archives and give the world full access to ALL Srila Prabhupada's teachings (not just some of them), devotees and well-wishers of the Archives can sign the " Release All Srila Prabhupada's Unpublished Audio Now" petition.

You can say that this is all just nonsense, but then you must also say this to the well over 1,300 devotees that signed the petition after only five days that it has been up. These devotees are your Godbrothers and sisters, ISKCON devotees and members who want to (see in your coat) hear Srila Prabhupada.

So please, release ALL the audio NOW! Please, no more post-dated checks of any kind. Please clear your name to the world. We are all rooting for you! We are all friends here, who help each other through tough times and good times. We chant and dance together in kirtana. Sooner or later we will have to look each other in the eyes and touch each other's feet in a humble attitude. We will all get old sooner or later and wind up in the spiritual world together. This world is like a bus stop, no one can hang onto their position, power or opulence forever. So let's make the best use of a bad bargain, at least while we are all here together on this tiny little planet, in the house that Srila Prabhupada built. Let's try not to hide anything from each other and just be a transparent via medium to the words of the Acarya.

We have faith in you, Bhaktivedanta Archives, that you will do the right thing and release ALL the audio now. For it is not your property...
