Causeless Mercy the Medicine

BY: KURMA DASA

Jan 31, AUSTRALIA (SUN) — Srila Prabhupada created so many wonderful disciples that, for a neophyte devotee such as myself, I find it very difficult to navigate so much nectar that is out there these days. The Sampradaya Sun is a wonderful daily spiritual newspaper which keeps devotees informed brahminically, about the good the bad and the ugly of spiritual life, giving us truthful insight into the pitfalls faced by us all, the worldwide devotee community. And it does so in a holistic manner, allowing each and every Vaisnava out there to have a voice.

Srila Prabhupada:

"My long desired scheme of a Krsna Conscious daily newspaper is being implemented. Please do this work very nicely. It will be a very great step in the history of ISKCON movement."
~ Srila Prabhupada, Letter to Satsvarupa 1971

Newspapers are sometimes sensational, at times unbelievable, at other times heart wrenching, but most of all they are informative. Brahminical commentary on ISKCON's good, bad, and ugly is a must, lest we allow the society to become the product of lazy and blind foolish followers.

Searching the Net sometime back I came across a Vaisnava website operated by Pratyatosa entitled CauselessMercy.com. This website must rate amongst the best Vaisnava sites on the Internet. All of Srila Prabhupada's lectures, songs, and morning walks can be downloaded very easily. The section of audio recordings of Srila Prabhupada are titled under the city in which they occurred. If you simply click on the city, say, New York, then the audio recordings for New York appear ready to be listened to.

The website also has a verse selector and FreeFind search engine which, unlike the Vedabase search engine, says "Did you mean?" when a word is misspelled. For example, if you search for "cut tree" (including the quotes) it will find "cutting trees," "Cut trees," etc.

Scanning the CauselessMercy.com website gives a lot of Srila Prabhupada nectar, that's for sure. Pratyatosa's other website, entitled Pratyatosa.com is also full of nectar. So many practical ideas, from a quick ekadasi meal to a Sanskrit diacritic font text converter.

It's all too easy to fall victim to ISKCON's bogus guru charade, and we can forget the godbrothers and sisters of the gurus who weren't so ambitious to kick out their Spiritual master and take His seat. All glories to the many wonderful Vaisnavas out there who rarely get a mention on the radar.
