What follows is an exchange of correspondence between myself and B.V. Bhagavat Maharaja, a follower of B.V. Narayana Maharaja's. In his response, he admits that the date of birth of Narayana Maharaja on their website is wrong.

Hope this finds you in the best Krishna Consciousness. Since you are very close to your recent guru Narayana Maharaja and you are yourself an Astrologer, I think,you must have read his horoscope. That is why you are serving his mission. I would be very much interested to know the birth particulars of Narayana Maharaja to see what his chart reveals and would be glad to discuss with you after I receive the birth particulars from your side.
If you do not have it, I am sure you are able to find out the Date of birth, Time of birth and Place of birth. That is all I need.

I am fallen soul. I am not comfortable feeling happily at all with the present ISKCON gurus who have taken over in unauthorized way against the will of HDG Srila Prabhupada, the Founder Acharya of ISKCON. So I thought Narayana Maharaja is the closest associate of Srila Prabhupada. I am anxious to find out and know more about him. That is why I am requesting you his birth particulars. That is all.
Why somebody should hide one's own birth particulars, particularly a spiritual leader? What is the need to hide if somebody is truly a spiritual leader? HDG Srila AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada's birth particulars are readily available and he never hide because he is truly who he is. Isn't it?
In your statement, it reads that the information on the website of his birth is purposely inaccurate for that reason, as I understand, is that he is not what he is posing himself to be a spiritual leader? In other words, are you saying he is a pretender, hiding his real identity?
I read about you that you are an astrologer yourself, perhaps, you know all about him well. Therefore, can you please shed some light about him regarding my questions?
I do not think that you have any reason to hide about his birth particulars, do you?

Sorry Amar Nice try I am not biting. Your response smells of the old school ISKCON guilt trip. Trying to make me feel like I have to give you what you are asking for because it is I who am at fault. I am also an Ayurvedic psychologist who has studied western psychology and biochemistry.
Srila Narayana Maharaja brought Srila Prabhupada out of ecstatic Prema to external consciousness during the last five hours of his life on this planet by chanting a mantra in his ear. I am a personal witness. The Pujari from Seva Kunja brought Srila Narayana Maharaja the Rasa Lila Mahaprasada on the morning of 10th October this year because Srimati Radharani came to the Pujari in a dream the night before and ordered him to bring the maha to her dear sakhi who is known as Narayana Maharaja. I am a personal witness. Srila Narayana Maharaja initiated the foremost Buddhist Guru in China who has 40,000 disciples and a Temple in China. The Guru is a modern Day Prakashananda and is telling all of his disciples to chant Hare Krsna and follow Srila Narayana Maharaja. This came after he rejected taking initiation from practically every ISKCON Guru. Without an Astrology Chart these incidents should be the reasons why you want to meet Srila Narayana Maharaja.
I love my Srila Prabhupada and His ISKCON. I have seen that there are mostly really sincere souls in that institution. I have found that there are also a few persons I would rather not associate with. But you know what, there are persons in Srila Narayana Maharaja's sanga I would rather not associate with. I also know a lot of very sweet and sincere devotees in Srila Bhakti Vaibhava Puri Maharaja's sanga and some people in his sanga I would rather not associate with. In fact in every Sanga I have found this same phenomena. So if you want to take the association of Srila Narayana Maharaja for awhile you should do so because he is displaying pastimes in the modern day like we have only read about in Caitanya Caritamrta. Not because He has exalted Moon and exalted Venus and a powerful Saturn and Mars etc etc. This is not the criteria for choosing a Guru. Arjuna asks Krsna how you can tell a self realized soul in the Gita and Krsna says by the way he speaks. Srila Prabhupada says this is the real criteria for acknowledging a realized soul, that he always speaks about Krsna. Srila Narayana more than fits that description. SO get his association for the right reasons.

Your name Bhagavat Maharaja means a person who is a Great Devotee of the Lord. One can only give what one has. A person who poses to have something and yet conceals it is a person known as a pretender/cheater. You are an educated person, as you pose to be. After reading your message below, it appears that you are hiding the truth. Only Shri Krishna knows WHY?
The incidents described by you bear no merit whatsoever. I can assure you that through the knowledge of the Astrology, a qualified Astrologer can read the chart of the person to verify these described incidents in your message. That is way I ask you for the birth particulars of your chosen present Guru, Narayana Maharaja. If you truly have, you have no reason to hesitate lest you may have also your personal motivated reason concealed within you.

Narayana Maharaja's Birth Chart
Further comments by Amar Puri:
According to the information available on PureBhakti.com, B.V. Narayana's date of birth is February 16, 1921 in Bihar, India. No time of birth is specified except it was Amavasya, new moon on that day.
However, I erected the chart giving the best possible Ascendant rising, which is Gemini at 2:40 pm. Any other Ascendant will render the chart as very weak. So, I give the Gemini Ascendant, at least to see the configuration of the planets in particulars signs transiting on that day.
Followings are the configuration of planets in the Astral sky transiting in their respective signs:
As. 20.32 Ge, Su 04.24 Aq., Mo 11.45 Ta, Ma 09.38 Pi, Me 22.26 Aq, JuR 23.20 Le, Ve 21.00 Pi, SaR 00. 27 Vi, Ra. 06;31 Li and Ke 06.31 Ar.
No doubt, Moon and Venus are exalted in transit on that day, but are isolated. The main problem I find is that the Sun representing Soul is transiting under the very close affliction and influence of malefic Rahu, which indicates that the native, in this case Narayana Maharaja, is no doubt a religious teacher, but the aspect of Rahu on the Sun totally destroys the true Spirituality i.e. corrupted, misleading personally motivated spiritual practices, ideas and emotions of all sorts for achieving name, fame and status at all cost.
Mars is also a closely casting aspect to Rahu, which indicates further that the native will strive very hard to obtain his personal motivated goals and objectives by hook or crook on the same rank, if not more, of the elevated great self-realized personality for self-glory, at all cost.
In order to prove and establish my point, it is seen from the configurations of the planets on that day that weakly disposed Jupiter occupying the sign Leo casts an exact aspect to weakly disposed Mercury, which is associated with afflicted Sun in the sign Aquarius, whose dispositor Saturn in infancy occupying Virgo sign indicates and confirms all as stated and pointed above.
Furthermore, exalted Venus and Moon in an isolation make the native emotionally charged and materially motivated to the attachment for mundane name and fame in a cult profession as a teacher.
However, an exchange of rulers and owners of signs such as Mercury and Saturn, which are weakly disposed under the aspect of weakly disposed Jupiter from its location, do strongly indicate for learning the cult science, but due to the weakness of the planets and the aspect of Rahu as mentioned above, make the native misleading for personally motivated cultivation of the spiritual practices for name, fame and status.
So, according to the above configuration, Narayana Maharaja is not a self-realized, maha-bhagvata at all, as he pretends to be, and people are being mislead.
That is my opinion based on the date in February of the year 1921.
