We now see that ISKCON Denver, following the lead of Seattle and San Jose, has arranged to have a sannyasi from the Srivaisnava Sampradaya give the evening lecture on Janmastami. Although the Sri sampradaya is accepted as one of the four bona fide sampradayas, they do not accept Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu as the Supreme Personality of Godhead, and they believe that the origin of Sri Krsna is Lord Vishnu. Despite this fact, ISKCON Denver is giving over the most auspicious festival lecture of the year to this Swami (along with Sri Gaura Purnima), instead of having an ISKCON devotee preach. Denver Temple President, Tusta Krsna dasa and GBC Badrinarayana are obviously fine with this arrangement, or it wouldn't be going on.

The senior-most Sri Vaishnava Sannyasi, HH Sri Sri Chinna Srimannarayana Ramanuja Jeeyar Swami, (fondly called as HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swami) is visiting Denver from August 28th to 31st 2013. In this tour, HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swami has been focusing on giving Srimad Bhagavad Gita Classes all over USA.
He spent two days with San Jose ISKCON and a week with Seattle ISKCON giving class on various chapters of SBG. HDG Sri Vaisheshika Prabhu has also confirmed the same with HDG Sri Tusta Krsna Prabhu. HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swami is a very traditional orthodox Sri Vaishnava Sannyasi yet very down to earth. He speaks Sanskrit, English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Nepali and Bhutanese extremely fluently. All his classes in the USA are generally in English which all of us will very easily understand.
HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swami will be giving a class on Sri Krishna's birth at our Denver ISKCON Temple on August 28th at 11pm. This is the third time HH will be visiting Denver ISKCON and HDG Sri Prana Vallabha Prabhu and HDG Srimati Nidra Mataji both remember meeting this Sannyasi back in 1997 and 2001.
He is also having two long programs from 7pm-12midnight on Thursday August 29th and Friday August 30th.
Thursday August 29th is the Janmashtami according to Sri Vaishnava Calendar. We will have bhajans by Devotee, recitation of divya prabhandam, a class by HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar, a drama by Nepali Refugee kids on Sri Krishna's birth and Arati at Midnight.
On Friday August 30th, HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swami will be teaching how to do puja to Sri Rama, Sita, Lakshmana and Hanuman. He calls this program as Hanuman Diksha. Every person who is interested in learning the process of Vaidhi Bhakti will also be given a deity to worship at home. This program will also have the re-enactment of Srimati Sita's & Sri Rama's marriage ceremony south indian style with the recitation of Vedas and Divya Prabhandam.
Other than these three main events, HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swami will be giving morning class from 8-11am after Morning Arati, Veda, Divya Prabhandam and Sri Sankshepa Ramayana recitation on all 3 days, Thursday 29th, Friday 30th and Saturday 31st. These morning programs are not for the general public but only for strict practitioners.This would be the perfect time to come and have closer association and HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swami would be happy to answer questions directly during this time.
