Hare Krishna Movement Seeks Devotees
"This was the spectacle Saturday afternoon in St. Petersburg's Williams Park, where many passers-by stopped to gape at five devotees of the Hare Krishna Movement. The young men, all from Gainesville, said they wanted to acquaint people with their movement. While Joseph Magyer (right) briefed an intrigued couple, the others (left to right) -- Ira Shottland (partially hidden), Marc Malcom, Pusta Krishna Das and Amarendra Das -- chanted in the background. Earlier Saturday, they said, they were asked to stop a similar demonstration in Tampa."
