ISKCON Bangalore - Making a Difference

Apr 05, DALLAS, TEXAS, USA (SUN) — I gave up on ISKCON in 1994, after 16 years of extremely active service in Tamal Krishna Goswami's zone. He was my so-called Guru as well. Then I came in touch with Rittvik devotees - Mahatma das, Puranjan, Ysodanandan, etc. At that time I was asking these devotees to start our own programs. Generally everyone's mind has been preoccupied with how corrupt ISKCON is and exposing it. That activity of exposing corrupt ISKCON goes on.
However, besides ISKCON Bangalore, ISKCON Singapore (Sundar Gopal das), and in the Philippines (Jitarati Prabhu), the Rittviks have failed miserably in coming together and establishing anything of significance.
Over the last 3 years or so I have repeatedly written about the achievements of ISKCON Bangalore and their Akshaya Patra project. About a month ago, the Akshaya Patra board of directors met in Bangalore and their future plan is to serve free lunch to 5 million school children daily by 2020.
Either we start our own program or join with others who are on track. Then we can make a difference. We are way past discussing death of Gurus and corrupt ISKCON. It is time to ignore them and move on to positive action - not talk.
