Following is a personal letter from the seminar facilitator, Dhira
Govinda Prabhu, regarding the nature and impact of the courses.
The Satvatove Foundational Seminar and Advanced Seminar Experience provide tools and experiences that many Vaisnavas have found very valuable for processes integral to the cultivation of pure bhakti, including enriching the quality of Vaisnava sanga, pulling the weeds from the heart, communicating principles of Krsna consciousness to others, devotional community development, and accessing and manifesting one's inherent qualities in order to have more potency for one's devotional service. Please note that the processes of the seminars in themselves are not, for example, "anartha-nivrtti" or "enhanced Vaisnava sanga". According to the experience of numerous Vaisnavas, the Satvatove courses provide a safe and secure
environment to deepen one's grasp of principles and sharpen one's
utilization of tools that may powerfully be used to significantly
improve the quality and depth of sanga, and to pull the weeds in the
heart.
A driving force in the seminars, as the name "Satvatove" indicates, is the continual unfolding of conscious awareness, a characteristic of sattva guna. We realize that sattva itself is not, according to Vaisnava acaryas, the ultimate aim of life. Rather, consciousness and sattvic qualities are meant to be a springboard towards transcendence. The Satvatove programs, including the Foundational and Advanced Seminars, are intended to complement our
endeavors on the path of bhakti. Many Vaisnavas who have completed
the Satvatove seminars have shared comments similar to this one, from
a mataji who has been practicing Krsna consciousness for about 35 years:
