Ludhiana Ratha Yatra

Dec 21, LUDHIANA, INDIA (SUN) — ISKCON Ludhiana had its 14th annual Rath Yatra, which concluded around midnight today, covering an area of about five kilometers. Lacs of devotees from India and abroad joined this Festival of Chariot.

The parade route was welcomed by different sections of society and they recited the Maha-mantra all the way. Both sides of the road were beautifully decorated and people welcome the Lord of the Universe with great devotion and dedication.

Chief Minister of Punjab state of India, S.Parkash Singh Badal was the chief guest. Keeping in view the large number of people to join Rath Yatra, the District Administration had to divert traffic to different routes.

Among others who participated in the parade were HH Gopal Krishna Goswami Maharaj, GBC and BBT Trustee, HH Pravodha Nand Maharaj, HG Mahaman das (ACBSP), Zonal Secretary, HG Makhan Lal Prabhu (ACBSP), HG Sakshi Gopal Das, Temple President, ISKCON Kurukshetra, HG Bhaktivinode das, HG Mohan Rupa das, Temple President, ISKCON New Delhi, HG Krishan Kanti das, past Temple President of ISKCON Chandigarh, HG Mahmantra das, and devotees from ISKCON Vrindavan and ISKCON New Delhi, along with devotees from U.S.A., Russia, Ubekistan, Ukrain, and book distribution parties from New Delhi.
