Supporting the Sampradaya Sun

Nov 29, CANADA (SUN) — Our longtime readers will know that it's never been the practice of the Sampradaya Sun or HareKrsna.com to solicit donations. We've always wanted to emphasize the fact that we're an independent news site, and avoiding fundraising has seemed to make that simpler. Even so, a few kindhearted devotees have contributed to our efforts over the years, and we're very grateful and indebted to them for their support.

We've been getting a tremendous amount of email lately from readers about various topics that have been appearing in the Sun, along with many requests for us to increase the services and reporting we offer. Along with these requests the readers sometimes ask -- "Where's the donation button?"

Our end-of-year operating expenses lie ahead and like many of you, we see expenses going up while income drops. So, we've finally surrendered to adding the ubiquitous PayPal donation buttons to the website. If you appreciate the Sun's attempts to encourage freedom of expression in ISKCON, and our efforts to bring you high quality content on Vedic culture and Krsna Consciousness, then by all means, please donate to our efforts. You can make a one-time donation, or choose one of several levels for a recurring monthly donation. Let us know if you need a button with a particular monthly amount. Recurring subscriptions can be cancelled by the donor, by unchecking the 'subscription' box in their PayPal account. All donations kept confidential.
