Krishnanjali at ISKCON

Nov 9, BANGALORE (SUN) — A live programme was aired directly from the ISKCON Temple last week by Doordarshan. "Krishnanjali" was attended by former Chief Justice of India M.N. Venkatachalaiah, Doordarshan Director General Navin Kumar and Bangalore DD Director Mahesh Joshi.
The programme featured renowned artistes such as M.S. Sheela, Vidyabhushana, Geeta Ramachandra, T.R. Srinath, Jayanth Kumar Das, Ravindra Soragavi and Shanta Jayatheertha providing enchanting music. Dancers such as Tushar Bhat Ishwar Nityananda, Shama Sanjay, Veena Nair and Prabal Gupta gave a blend of classical dances of India.
The highlight was a ballet on Lord Krishna covering the "Narakasura Vadha" and "Parijata" episodes. It was telecast live for three hours as a special programme for Deepavali.
