New Update on Bhojadeva Prabhu
BY: SACIRANI DEVI DASI
Sep 9, BANGKOK, THAILAND (SUN) Bhojadeva Prabhu’s surgery on September 6th night went
well. The surgeon took bone grafts from his hip to
support his eye sockets. The surgeon also released one
of the eye muscles on Bhojadeva Prabhu’s right eye
that was pinched between a fracture.
Bhojadeva Prabhu doesn’t have any bandages on his
face. He has very thin stitches under his eyes. His
face is a bit swollen from the operation but the
doctor was happy with the results and thinks that
Bhojadeva Prabhu should be able to leave the hospital
within the week.
Bhojadeva Prabhu is feeling some pain in his hip where
the surgeon took the bone grafts, but otherwise he is
doing well.
Yesterday Bhojadeva Prabhu also saw the
ophthalmologist who examined his eyes. The
ophthalmologist was quite impressed on how fast the
blood clot under Bhojadeva Prabhu’s right eye is
dissolving. He said it is much smaller and thinner.
Another problem in Bhojadeva Prabhu’s right eye is
that the pupil is not responding to light. The doctor
said it might be because of the muscle that controls
the opening and closing of the pupil was damaged. If
that is the case it is permanent, and Bhojadeva Prabhu
will have to wear sunglasses or a contact lens
whenever exposed to lots of light to protect his eye.
Bhojadeva Prabhu now has to do some rehabilitation
exercises for his left hand and his right eye.
Yesterday Bhojadeva Prabhu had the visit of two of his
spiritual brothers: His Holiness Kavichandra Swami and
His Grace Tattva Darshan Prabhu. H.H. Kavichandra
Maharaja brought some devotional books in Thai for
Bhojadeva to distribute to the nurses and doctors
taking care of him. I’m attaching a photo of Bhojadeva
giving some books to one of his nurses. I’m also
attaching a nice photo of Bhojadeva Prabhu, H.H.
Kavichandra Swami and H.G. Tattva Darshan Prabhu.
Many local devotees have also come to visit Bhojadeva
in the past two weeks including His Grace Guru Kripa
Prabhu, and I want to thank them all for their
kindness, help and very nice prasadam! :-)
Thanks again to all the devotees whose generous
donations are helping Bhojadeva Prabhu get the best
care possible. Thanks a million to everyone who have
sent their most loving words of support and to all who
are praying to Krishna for Bhojadeva’s quick and full
recovery (please continue, Sri Krishna is definitely
listening!). Vaishnavas are true angels!!! All glories
to you all!
Hare Krishna!
Your servant,
Sacirani dd
