Puerto Rico Prison System Seeks Hindu Chaplain

June 11, PUERTO RICO (HPI) The Supervisory Chaplain of the Metropolitan Detention Center, in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico is seeking contact with ministers of the Hindu faith there. The letter reads: "We are Chaplains from a Federal Bureau of Prisons in Puerto Rico, and we are trying to enhance new community relations. As part of our commitment for excellence in providing pastoral care for all inmates in so many different religions we will like to know if you may be able to help us in this endeavor.
There are many inmates at our institution that come in times of spiritual guidance and that are interested in deepening their religious beliefs. Currently we do not have any representative or volunteer from Hinduism."
Any available persons in Puerto Rico may be recommended to assist that inmates.
