The biggest international airport in India is being developed at Jewar near Noida. It is located between Vrndavana and Noida/Greater Noida (Delhi), 80 kilometres north of Mathura-Vrndavana on the Yamuna Express.
It will be completed and operational in about 5 years. The area notified for Noida Airport is 3,000 hectares and the first phase will be developed in 1,000 hectares. The airport is expected to give a major boost to tourism at Mathura, Vrndavana and Agra which will in turn bolster tourism and economic potential of the region.
It is a second airport in Delhi, but driving from this airport to Vrndavana will take less than one hour. Vrndavan will be very easily accessible, hassle free and minus the Delhi traffic congestion. This is welcome news for ISKCON devotees around the world.
Just wanted to share this with one and all.
