Gaura Purnima Festival Celebrated at
ISKCON Ludhiana

Mar 01, LUDHIANA, INDIA (SUN) — An Appearance day festival for Sri Caitanya Maha-Prabhu (Gaura Purnima) was celebrated by ISKCON Ludhiana. A large number of people enthusiastically participated in the festival. Their Lordships Sri Sri Jagannatha, Baldeva and Subhadra and Sri Sri Gaura Nitai were looking very beautiful in Their colorful dresses.

There was Aarti for their Lordships and Panchamrit abhishek of Sri Sri Gaur Nitai. This time the venue of the festival was a little far from temple and was very wide, to accommodate twenty thousand people. The said grounds were very beautifully decorated with lights and flowers. On the road, a very big billboard and sign were set-up to facilitate the people in reaching the venue.

Two abhishek stages were set-up for the devotees to do abhishek without any trouble, even though very long queues were seen for darshan and abhishek, and people had to wait for two hours to reach the stages.

Harinam sankirtan was recited by devotees from Sri Vrndavana Dhama and from the local temple. People were seen dancing to the Mahamantra and there was also Pushp Holi (Flower Holi). More than ten thousand people participated in this mega festival.

Chhapan Bhoga was offered to Their Lordships, then fasting prasadam was distributed to the people.
