We Didn't Send Photo to Court, says ISKCON Bangalore

Feb 03, BANGALORE, INDIA (EXPRESS BUZZ) ISKCON Bangalore on Wednesday submitted in the High Court that it had not sent any photograph to the High court and was not scandalising the judiciary. The counsel representing ISKCON told the division bench comprising Justice K Shridhar Rao and Justice Subhash B Adi, that they had not sent any photograph of a judge visiting the ISKCON Bangalore centre in 2003.
The photograph was sent by ISKCON Mumbai, in the name of ISKCON Bangalore and two photographs were missing from the album of ISKCON Bangalore, the counsel said. The court adjourned the hearing of the case to Thursday.
It may recalled that the High Court had initiated suo-motu criminal contempt proceedings against Jai Chaitanya das, Secretary of ISKCON, Madhu Pandit das, President of ISKCON, Bangalore, SKV Chalapati, senior advocate, VH Ron, Ramesh Babu and Maruti Prasad, advocates who are defending ISKCON Bangalore in the (RFA) filed by ISKCON Mumbai.
In the contempt petition, the High Court has alleged that ISKCON Bangalore and its advocates were scandalising the judiciary and the High Court judge by sending a photograph and letter to Justice KL Manjunath and other judges of the High Court.
The photo shows Justice Manjunath receiving a memento from ISKCON Bangalore during his visit to the temple in 2003. The letter states that he should recuse from hearing the case.
