Jul 22, 2010 — CANADA (SUN) — A systematic review of ISKCON-related corporations and projects.

Today's Cluster Report covers a number of ISKCON related corporations in North Carolina and Washington. Of note is the International Society for Krishna Consciousness of Washington, for which Hari Vilasa dasa is Registered Agent. Now housed in a new temple building in Sammamish, WA, the organization promotes itself as the "Vedic Cultural Center", having divested itself of Srila Prabhupada's "ISKCON" name.

Also included in today's report is the Veda Foundation of Efland, North Carolina. This non-profit organization was incorporated in December 1998, a few months before a major dispute erupted between HH Bhakti Caru Swami and his followers, who battled with local devotees in the area. The legal fight was over Bhakti Caru Swami's attempts to purchase land from the Carolinas Vedic Village Society, a corporation also listed in today's Cluster Report. An article in the VNN archives provides further detail.

And also included in today's cluster map is one of the more 'creatively' named corporations we've surveyed thus far – The Radha-Krishna Varnashram Apostolic Cultural Association of Adikshetra in Cascadia. This currently inactive corporation was founded by Prabhupada das Karapurnam – a personality the Sampradaya Sun has published warnings about in the past.
