The Godbro[thers] will see that my sen[ior] and older Godbrother is so eager to serve our Prabhupada and who will enthuse the devotion and inspire the newcomers. However if we try to imitate Srila Prabhupada by accept[ing] opulent worship directly in ISK[con] then we take the dangerous path of offense and such blatant imitation will simply lead to falldown as Srila Prabhupada predicted in NOI. "However one should not imitate the behavior of an advanced devotee or maha-bhagavata without being self-realized, for by such imitation one will eventually become degraded."
For the argument that "we are simply following Prabhupada, so as he did we do" we'll we're not Prabhupada. We cannot think that because Prabhupada accepted such unprecedented puja on a daily basis, now I have some discip[les] and I can also accept puja like that.

Actually the vyasa-asane issue in the temples is – in the purport – It is best not to imitate the powerful, but simply to follow the instructions; nor should one try to occupy these posts with[out] qualification

We may have some qualification but we should be intelligent enough to understand that our qualifications are minute in comparison to Srila Prabhupada.
Actually, the vyasa-asanas issue and the Guru pujas and other paraphernalia are a symptom of a major problem.
-- The 11 successor acaryas myth
What are Prabhupada's actual statements regarding the original 11 devotees currently initiating
-- fr[om] 1977 Nov to date currently in various ISKCON publications, BTG's, newsletters, vyasa-pujas publication etc…. there is a common trend which says that "these 11 were appointed as Acaryas for ISKCON"
some other variations are
"Prabhupada appointed thes[e] 11 as his material and spiritual successors"
with another varia[tion] which "boils down to a certain elitist mentality of
-- Maharaja, you are one of Prabhupada's senior disciples, you are a respected sannyasi, a[s] well as big preacher. Can't you see that this concocted exclusive appointment as acarya is unbonafide

Prabhupada's statement to one of his disciples, "The problem with the Gaudiya Math is that they tried to make a perfect man. You cannot make."
Prabhupada criticized the members of the Gaudiya Matha not only because they did not form a GBC but because He did not instruct a particular man to become the acarya by nomin[ation].
Do you think that our beloved Srila P[rabhupada] would criticize his godbrother for approval and then appoint 11 for his spiritual movem[ent] It is against all logic. And let us not forget that there are clear differences of meaning of the var[ious] Acaryas (please see Prabhupada's letter to SDG)
See BTG Vol. 13-12 –
1) acarya means one who teaches by example. All Vaisnavas are acaryas in that sense CC samp[ratistha] acarya
2) one who is following a sampradaya or found[er] sampratistha acarya
The 11 diksa gurus [emphasis added] may be acaryas to their disciples but they would be mistaken to claim that they are now all acaryas of ISKCON and the various zones. Why? Because Prabhupada never instructed(?) this current attempt to consolidate the various preaching zones under zonal acaryas,
GBCs appointed(?) to positions of respect & authority normally vested in a guru has resulted in a formalized acarya arrangement by contrived(?) mutual consent or zonal acaryas if you wish.
Please refer to letterheads of the diff[erent] initiation gurus to illust[rate] what I am saying.
