Not a Sentimental Religious Movement

Here in this paragraph by Srila Prabhupada starting with "The Krishna consciousness movement", shows the intensity of the mission of ISKCON. It's still very early days, but through the gradual development of ISKCON in the different branches of knowledge that it needs to operate in, intelligent people will come to understand and follow its direction.

As His Divine Grace says, it's not a sentimental religious movement, but a movement to reform western thinking -- its science, its economies, its social make-up, its political systems, its approach to ecology, its treatment of animals. Most importantly it is meant for replacing demoniac leaders with highly trained Brahmana Vaisnavas, who are the true well wishers of all living.

All glories to Srila Prabhupada, who took the mission of his guru and with full conviction and faith, put the framework together that will be progressively filled in by sincere followers who have that faith in this mission. It will be spread by those who are dhira, who are actually perfectly lined up in parampara and who have no material desires.
