We Feel You, Govinda dasi

Aug 29, 2010 — USA (SUN) — After reading the article by Govinda dasi, "Monkey Poo, or Respect for One's Guru", I am moved to respond. Not to speak to the facts of the matter in question, for I certainly wouldn't know them, not having been there, but to sincerely thank those very early disciples that gave so much help to Srila Prabhupada in printing his books that I, and so many others have benefited from over these last years.
In her article I could feel her hurt over seeing her spiritual master's life work worked over as it has been. I know there are many others who share her pain and are laboring to correct the situation.
I want to thank also those responsible for bringing out and pushing forward the original's. It is so much a blessing to have that access to the real thing. My obeisances to you all.
I remember hearing a recorded lecture where Srila Prabhupada was discussing how Maya is always there providing a shadow reality to the Reality of Krishna. So it should not be a surprise to see a shadow ISKCON appear as it has. It is up to us as the marginal living entities to choose wisely as to where we place our consciousness and faith, Reality or the shadow. The choice is eternally ours.
As far as the books go, I have long since made my choice.
