Who Cares?

After reading the article from Hrdaya Chaitanya prabhu, some thoughts came to mind.
Perhaps Citra mataji felt that no one cared for her.
Perhaps this was the only option left for her.
This is, of course, a speculation on my part, but personal experiences in ISKCON by members past and present, including myself, lead me to believe this is a possibility.
It is a rare event to have a member of the ISKCON leadership inquire as to your well being.
When was the last time it happened to you?
I regularly hear complaints from the disciples of my godbrothers that their respective gurus ignore them, or at best only ask for money.
Recently one gentleman told me an ISKCON guru phoned him up asking for cash.
When the same gentleman refused,
the swami in question then had his secretary call him up demanding an explanation as to why the gentleman had refused.
The gentleman in question was not even the swami's disciple and the swami had never inquired into the gentleman's welfare.
This is, of course, only one meagre example.
Do I think the ISKCON management cares for me...?
Has my GBC ever inquired as to my welfare?
Well... what do you think?
