ISKCON Boston, Major Offence to Srila Prabhupada's Image

On June 29, 2018 a murti of Prabhupada was installed outside in front of the ISKCON Boston Temple like a statue of a mundane person for the birds to defecate on. It is a major deviation and offense to Srila Prabhupada's form. Click here to see the plan submitted to the city with a picture of what it looks like in front of the temple.

"The guru should be treated as good as God. This is stated in all the sastras. The difference is that God is master-God and guru is servant-God. So the installation ceremony for such a murti should be similar to that done for other Deities"
    (Srila Prabhupada, Mayapur, 1/29/1976)

"There is no difference between me and my picture. Therefore we should honor and keep pictures in that spirit. If we throw pictures this way and that way, that is offense. The name and picture are as good as the person in spiritual world. In the material world either picture or person, everything is illusion"
    (Srila Prabhupada, New Vrindavana, 9/4/1972)
