I have heard that it is now official.
As reported by Sadhushastra prabhu, Gauri das has been found guilty of child abuse.
I cannot comment on his keeping an ISKCON property worth £500,000,but I am sure that issue will become a public one.
We are also wondering about the car he drives, as well as all his other company perks.
Of course, now the Bhaktivedanta Manor management are having to explain themselves to the community at large.
How did Gauri das rise to such a position in ISKCON?
Who were the people employing him?
Why did they employ him?
Whose interests did it serve to have him in that position?
Financial and otherwise.
The fact is ...
that ISKCON covered up the abuse scandal with an official report in 1995.
That document is freely available.
Since then, Gauri das has repeatedly been caught lying.
He publicly declared the testimonies of his victims as "baseless".
I have the newspaper clipping.
I personally brought to the ISKCON UK GBC and management council, hard evidence that he was duplicitous.
Gauri das simply lied to everyone present.
When I re-presented the evidence to my GBC, Praghosa das, I was asked,
"Was Gauri das Intentionally lying?"
I still have all the documents.
For my trouble, I was banned by my GBC Praghosa das.
I also recived a letter from the Bhaktivedanta Manor management forbidding me to ask questions.
It should be further noted...
that although Gauri das is finally exposed for what he is,
it was not ISKCON's doing.
The ISKCON CPO was dragging its heels until threatened with legal action.
The ISKCON UK GBC, Praghosa das, actively supported Gauri das.
The ISKCON UK GBC and ISKCON Resolve covered up the financial scandal that I brought to their attention.
(ISKCON Resolve is managed by the same Braja Bihari das who covered up the shameful mess in 1995.)
No doubt Gauri das will now comfortably retire after making his financial killing at Bhaktivedanta Manor.
He may even travel to Chowpatty, where he will be "respected".
For me, it is a case of 1 down, 10 to go ...
