It will be interesting to see if the GBC finds enough decency to apologize for the way the WMM issue was dealt with. The whole way how the WMM resolution came about and then didn't come about and then how we found out that 'some secretary wrote it wrong' and how 'it was not meant like this' truly sent one message across to those who still somewhat care; what a chaotic way this GBC circus has been conducting itself while still demanding to be accepted as the ultimate authority in ISKCON.
What else is coming up now? - Malati d.d takes sannyasa, becomes a guru and gets some luxurious lady underwear as guru daksina from her first brahmacari disciple who thought she would be the perfect mama since he never had one?[Joke] And what else can we expect in the near future when a resolution again 'slips through' because the secretary ate too much hallava?
Actually, I don't believe what they said about the resolution slipping through by mistake as it is a very basic principle of any managerial body that when voting on certain decisions, prior to the vote the FINAL version is clearly read by the secretary or chairman so everybody CLEARLY knows what he is voting for or against.
As HHH Prabhu summed it all up once; 'What a cabaret'. Whereby I would have to comment that a reasonably managed cabaret show with some dancing girls and a magician at the end is probably more organized than what the GBC performed in this matter.
The real result is serious damage to devotees' faith in the GBC on the side of those who still hoped to have some kind of functioning authority for our movement, and on the good side, popularization of the WMM book beyond all expectations.
