Refuse Point Blank to Receive any Laxmi
BY: BHAKTA MATTY
Apr 05, 2012 WATFORD, ENGLAND, UK (SUN) Dear Mahavidya prabhu, as regards your latest article, Viewing the Goshalla Accounts, I personally have no problem with the New Gokul Farm and Craft Shop's accounts being open for the public to view. I will certainly raise the issue at our next goshalla meeting. You'll recall that sometime back, I did provide you with a link that informed you of all the goshalla and temple wages and expenditure etc.
I can tell you for a fact, that both me and my wife Lainey are not receiving a wage from Bhaktivedanta Manor and that our service is, and will always be, to try and please Srila Prabhupada and fulfill part of his wish for the devotees, cows and the oxen at the goshalla located at Bhaktivedanta Manor.
All the devotees who are providing their craft goods are of course receiving laxmi for whatever wears they sell in the shop. A percentage of the gross sale is, of course, going to the feeding and well being of the cows and oxen, and no one is receiving a wage.
Although saying this, there are some items that come directly from the temple, like the Maha pot Pourri and other items from the goshalla, and Manor grounds, where the devotees who endeavour to try and please Radha Gokulananda and Srila Prabhupada actually refuse point blank to receive any laxmi for their time and effort in their devotional service. And for them, I know that whatever they grow or produce at the goshalla will be done in the mood of bhakti.
All the devotees involved in the maintenance and running of the New Gokul Craft and Farm Shop do not receive a wage.
As regards your other questions concerning other devotee's wages, well that has nothing to do with me. I am trying to please Srila Prabhupada in some small way, as I owe the rest of my life to his mission of cow protection and Sankirtan.
Dear Mahavidya prabhu. I know for sure that you will inevitably reply to this article, but to be frank prabhuji, I do not have the time or the energy at the moment to keep replying to your articles, but I am sorry that things have turned out the way they have for you. So please do not expect a reply, as this is all I have to say on this matter at the present time.
When I have some spare time and energy, then I will give an update on the progress of the New Gokul Farm and Craft Shop and the crafters guild.
Yours in the service of Sri Guru and Sri Gauranga,
Bhakta Matty
