Point of Order

Apr 8, WEST VIRGINIA, USA (SUN) Regarding New Vrindaban's history, Anonymous das made the point that two burglaries of vans occurred and many people knew that. Samba dasa's recent attempt to discredit Hrishikesh das by pointing out that Hrishikesh inadvertently switched the events in his mind and inaccurately reported one for the other only goes to show the complexity of the criminal enterprise that existed then. Now, we are somehow expected to believe that the same convicted felons in charge will bring "good fortune" to New Vrindaban because these individuals have been benedicted by the mercy of Radhanath. Let his fate be theirs then, also.
The samadhi erected to Hayagriva was attacked with hammers and bears the scars of this attack. This was done at the instigation of Jayadvaita Swami when he convinced Kasyapa (Varsana Swami, for those still believing in the potency of a Kirtanananda sanyassa initiate) to demolish the 35-foot Prabhupada Murti that had been erected outdoors. It was part of a feud that goes back to "the early days" and certainly is nothing any of them should be proud of. Yet pride is certainly there.
On various occasions Jayadvaita Swami sought out individuals (or groups of individuals, as he usually thought of the second generation as a collection of interruptions to his hearing class) to demolish the Murti, because he had an axe to grind with any number of individuals on a number of issues. Detachment, ki jaya!
A son's fond remembrances of his father notwithstanding, to attempt to denigrate Hrishikesh das to "Bhakta Hank" is to attempt to negate years of service that, however mal-administered by Kirtanananda's malfeasance, was performed for the pleasure of Their Lordships, Sri Sri Radha Vrndaban Chandra. The arrogance implied certainly does nothing positive for the author's image. Truth will out.
