Vrindavan as a State of Mind
BY: KURMA DASA (NOT THE CHEF)
Mar 16, AUSTRALIA (SUN) I am not that philosophically capable to comprehend the intricacies of the fall/no fall debate, however yesterday I was thinking about something Srila Prabhupada said regarding ISKCON's Melbourne Temple when he was here in Australia. He said:
"If you want to remain in the spiritual world, this temple IS the spiritual world. WE ARE NOT LIVING IN MELBOURNE. This temple is not Melbourne. IT IS VRINDAVANA..."
(Srila Prabhupada)
Prior to learning from Srila Prabhupada how to practice Krishna Consciousness, we were all forced to act under the modes of nature. This involves sometimes behaving like animals, and sometimes not. Consider that with most of the world's population right now, the difference between how they are thinking and how a devotee in a temple is thinking is basically a state of mind.
Isvara dasa's article yesterday where he quotes Srila Prabhupada (below) makes a lot of sense!
"Sri Caitanya-caritamrta said Krishna is like the sun, maya is like darkness. Where there is sun, there cannot be darkness. Thus according to the conclusion of Srila Prabhupada in his book, "It is a fact no one falls from the spiritual world."
