Rocana prabhu is quite correct in his latest article, "The High Price of Sentiment".
Here at Bhaktivedanta Manor in the UK, we are already practically experiencing the overripe fruits of mundane sentiment.
Religiosity has become the order of the day.
ISKCON is now openly advertised as being a Hindu something or other.
The congregation (whether they like it or not) are now Hindus.
Srila Prabhupada's temples are now "Hindu temples".
The leadership here, under the direction of our GBC Praghosa das, endorses all of this.
Bhaktivedanta Manor has become a wedding factory, churning out cash to pay for salaries.
All with the blessings of our ISKCON UK management.
(But not with the blessings of the Founder-Acarya HDG AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada)
Whoopee!
Of course, we are very fortunate here in the UK to have the association of HH Bhakti Caru Swami, Radhanatha Swami and HH Sivarama Swami.
Along with other ISKCON Illuminati, all are regular visitors to Bhaktivedanta Manor.
Yet… do we hear a murmur of protest?
(Perhaps I should start naming them all, and why they stay so silent)
Certainly not! Not a whisper.
Perhaps... it is because they all benefit from this arrangement.
And,
we do not want to disturb the goose that lays the golden eggs, do we?
Those Swamis, if they wish, could influence the situation.
After all…
it is their disciples managing the situation.
Come to think about it... there are many other Srila Prabhupada disciples and grand disciples here in the UK,
But…
we do not hear much from them, either.
