The Taj Mahal and the Photographic Evidence

BY: STEPHEN KNAPP (SRI NANDANANDANA)

Mar 31, USA (SUN) — In response to the information by Suresh Dasa who said that the information I presented on my website was all previously researched by P. N. Oak, that is not entirely true. I also supply 25 rare photos of the Taj, its underground hallway and apartments, its water well, etc., along with an additional 20 plus photos of other buildings in and around Delhi, which show the Vedic influence that can be found in the design of Taj Mahal. These, and the informative captions that accompany each photo, are not the result of Mr. Oak's work, nor did he ever provide these photos. However, they do provide further verification of his theories.

So for Suresh dasa to make a blanket statement that everything that was presented in the previous article by Philip Varghese is the result of P. N. Oak, is not exactly accurate. Plus, the links that Suresh included in his write up have long been out of date and no longer functional. In fact, it sounds like he has not actually visited my website to see what I really have to offer on this topic. But I encourage anyone who is interested to do so.

Personally, I was quite surprised that Philip Varghese would even write an article on the topic of the Taj Mahal to be published in the Mumbai paper. Most newspapers avoid such controversy. The photographs I supply, as the article explains, were once the property of the Archeological Survey of India. That is the main part of the presentation on my website.

I do also provide the basic articles of P. N. Oak, such as "The True Story of the Taj Mahal" with its 109 proofs, and a few other things attributed to Oak, but there are a few additional items, including a great article called "The Question of the Taj Mahal" by P. S. Bhat and A. L. Athavale, which supplies a completely different view of the information available that you can also find on my website. So the photos and their captions, along with this article, have nothing to do with the research that has been done by Mr. Oak, but are quite separate.

Nonetheless, I respect the work Mr. Oak has done, who is a personal acquaintance of mine. I have corresponded with him since 10 or 15 years ago, and he has sent me several of his annual magazines that he has published on rewriting the history of India. I also personally stopped in to see him at his home in Pune, India a few years ago and had a very nice visit with him. I also feel that he has done so much work in this area that to not include him in one's research would leave a serious gap in the information and theories that have been gathered and provided in this way, though I may not agree completely with everything he says. But anything I present that has been done specifically by Mr. Oak, I make it clear that he is the author. However, if you wish to see the additional photos of the Taj and read their informative captions that I have presented on my website, which are outside the research that Mr. Oak has presented, then one can find them at www.stephen-knapp.com .
