Official TOVP Response to Radha Jivana Prabhu's Recent Communication

BY: SUNANDA DAS

Feb 29, 2016 — INDIA (SUN) —

Below is a letter from Ambarisa Prabhu to all ISKCON leaders and devotees and TOVP supporters in response to a recent communication from Radha Jivana Prabhu. It assures everyone that the decision to relieve him of his TOVP services was done in the best interest of the project and that there will be no distractions to the current pace of progress on account of this unfortunate occurrence. It should also be noted that Radha Jivana Prabhu without authorization used the North American TOVP email database to send this communication, and illegitimately signed it as 'The NA TOVP Team'.

Note for North American Donors: Please discontinue sending your contributions to SACRED DEEDS FOUNDATION. An alternate foundation/entity will shortly be set up in the USA to receive your donations. In the meantime, please remit all donations directly to the TOVP bank account in India.

For donors with recurring donations set up from their bank accounts, these will automatically be discontinued and you will be informed of a new TOVP account to continue making payments towards your pledge. Please do not mail any checks to the Sacred Deeds office in Florida. We will keep you informed as to when and where these should be sent.

The North America TOVP Team

From Ambarisa das, TOVP Chairman

Regarding recent disturbances in Mayapur and Radha Jivana Prabhu's hostile remarks:

"Devotee means he is able to tolerate all kinds of discomfort and whims of the material nature, and because he is so much absorbed in serving Krishna, he takes no time to become angry or take offense with others or find out some fault, no. Devotee means very liberal and kind to everyone, always gentleman under all kinds of conditions of life."
(Srila Prabhupada letter, December 10, 1972)

Hare Krishna Dear ISKCON Leaders, Prabhus, and TOVP Supporters.

Please accept my obeisances. All Glories to Srila Prabhupada.

Many of you may have received an email from Radha Jivan Prabhu regarding the situation in Mayapur, that also included a statement from myself. This did not come from the Mayapur or North American TOVP offices, and has not been authorized by the TOVP management, although supposedly signed by the North American TOVP Team. You may receive other communications from him in the future and it is our request that you please ignore them and turn to official TOVP sources for information. Radha Jivan Prabhu has been relieved of his position as Fundraising Director due to recent disturbances he created in Sridham Mayapur. The complete story is not factually represented in his email or speeches, nor do differences amongst devotees call for such upheaval as he created in the Holy Dhama and within this beloved project undertaken for the pleasure of Srila Prabhupada and Mahaprabhu.

Please rest assured that the project is in good hands. There is an extensive TOVP Team throughout the world headed by myself, Vraja Vilas Prabhu, Sadbhuja Prabhu and our beloved Jayapataka Maharaja, and the construction and fundraising steadily proceed. It has been a regretful experience to deal with since Radha Jivan Prabhu has served the project so faithfully over the last three years and spearheaded many programs that raised millions of dollars, for which we are most appreciative. However, for the sake of continuing the forward momentum of the project the turbulence and dissension he created could not be tolerated and the greater cause of the TOVP had to take precedence over one individual.

Devotees around the world need to work in cooperation to help this temple manifest as predicted by Sri Nityananda Prabhu. We are humbled by all the support and encouragement we have received from all of you. Please continue to show your support despite whatever trials and tribulations maya sends our way.

Thank you very much for your commitment to the TOVP and your patience.

Yours in service,

Ambarisa das
TOVP Chairman
