Letters Srila Prabhupada Did Not Write

BY: HASYA MUKHI DEVI DASI

Feb 05, 2012 — USA (SUN) — ISKCON News says: "Yadunandana and Radhanath Swamis are the new Yoga Masters from ISKCON".

Dear Hasya Mukhi devi dasi, Please accept my blessings and extend the same to the other yoga masters there with you.

I am thrilled to hear that -- according to a report on the GBC's official news site -- Yadunandan Swami and Radhanath Swamis have been declared "renowned masters" representing one of the various schools (ours)." It is so nice to learn from the article that they have met with other such yoga masters. I was overjoyed to read that Radhanath "touched the audience with his inclusive yet non-compromising approach to the practice of Yoga with genuine God consciousness".

for just a moment to let the profundity of his words sink in.

I have noted that our ISKCON masters are rubbing elbows with some very elevated personalities from whom we can learn so much. I especially draw attention to Radhanath who (according to the article) "teaches bhakti-yoga at various high profile venues around the world." Yes, I have read between the line$$ and I know the importance of $uch high-profile event$$.

I have collected some brilliant quotes from the websites of the other yoga masters at the conference that I wish all my disciples to pay special attention to. Especially if, just like Yadunandan and Radhanath, they also wish to evolve into high profile yoga masters. Here are the quotes:

From Sri Sri Ravi Shankar who organized the event: "The sky of consciousness that is all permeating, everywhere; the consciousness, the basis of all creation, that is Divine - that which knows all. You cannot make God an object of your sight. If you make it that, then it is no more God. You can live God, can be God, but you cannot consider God as an object which gives you the path." ~ Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

From the website of Hindu Dharma Acharya Sabha: "The Hindu culture, likewise, is unique, for whatever it is worth. It is a living culture that says that all is God. Space, time, and everything in space and time are non-separate from God. All here is Ishwara, God. Save Hinduism at least for its antique value." ~ Hindu Dharma Acharya Sabha

The Rector or the Vivekananda Yoga University and of SVYASA was there, too and the website for SVYASA states that its purpose is: "To provide for instructions and training in Yoga and Spiritual lore as propounded by Swami Vivekananda, the famous Indian monk who heralded the grandeur of Sanatana Dharma (the Laws of Creation) in the West through his epoch-making speech in the Parliament of Religions on Sep 11, 1893." ~ SVYASA

In that speech Swami Vivekananda quoted the "Gita" as follows: "As the different streams having their sources in different places all mingle their water in the sea, so, O Lord, the different paths which men take, through different tendencies, various though they appear, crooked or straight, all lead to Thee!"

So you aspiring yoga masters should not look for contradictions in the sea of oneness. Do not say, "Well, if we all end up in the same place anyway irregardless, why do we need yoga conferences and different yoga masters who all say something different while pretending that it is all the same? Hmmm? Duh!" No. That would be yoga aparada".

It is important that our devotees learn the essence of such teachings so that each one of you will likewise become yoga masters. I understand that the plan of the meeting is to have the United Nations declare a World Yoga Day. Actually, it is a fact that only the United Nations and their New World Order run by the oligarchic international cartel of banks and oil companies can save the world. Therefore, I ask that you please disregard the things I have may have said about the United Nations in the past, such as:

"Therefore you have to develop Krishna consciousness before you talk of this nonsense universal brotherhood and this United Nations and all this nonsense. These are useless talks if you have no idea how to think of universal brotherhood or United Nations. Useless. Therefore they are talking for years, years. Still, they are the same fools. Don't you see? The United Nations, they have got their headquarters here. Simply talking nonsense. That's all. That is their business." (Lecture, Mar 17, 1968)

"In this way, the whole world should cooperate. There is United Nations, but what they are doing? Let them study Bhagavad-gita, how to make United Nations. That will be perfect. Not these short-sighted men, with politics and diplomacy in the heart, they can bring all the nations united. That is not possible. Let them discuss Bhagavad-gita." (Lecture, Sept 7, 1973)

"So there was no meeting of the fourth-class, fifth-class men. What they will do? Simply pass some resolution, that's all. What they will do? Just like this United Nations. What can they do? For the last twenty years, they are trying to make solution of the problems of the world. They have so many departments. The one department is WHO, World Health Organization. So because they are all shudras, what they can make, make solution? The present moment, the whole world is full of shudras, and they have got money. So they are simply spending for sense gratification. Therefore, according to Vedic civilization, shudras should not be given much money. (Lecture, May 24, 1974)

"But they (are) foolish, they will not come, they have got United Nations. But United Nations means simply committing mistake, mistake, mistake, mistake. That's all. That is their business. Why don't you unite?" (Lecture, Nov 29, 1973)

"Simply one king. Mahim, this world. Mahim means the earthly planet. This is the history. From Mahabharata we understand that, that the whole world was under one flag, these Pandavas. Now United Nations means three thousand flags, three thousand nations. So that is not democracy, or that is not good ruling. The best ruling is monarchy, and monarch means he must be a perfectly trained-up person by the best brahmanas. That is perfect government. Not that this democracy, some rascals and fools they are voting another rascal and fool, and by hook and crook he comes to the post. He does not like to give it up, and makes things very miserable. This kind of government... Now your Senate is proposing, ‘Let us pray to God how we can get good government.' They are coming down to again. But why not train? Now you are going to pray to God, ‘Please give us good government.' Why don't you elect a person maha-bhagavata?" (Lecture, Dec 29, 1973)

"We talk all this nonsense of universal brotherhood and United Nations—all nonsense." (Krishna Consciousness the Topmost Yoga System)

"So when the human beings become uninterested in religious things, then they are animals. And how can there be happiness or peace in animal society? They want to keep people like animals, and they are making a United Nations. How is it possible? United animals, society for united animals? These things are going on." (Science of Self Realization)

"Today so many people are striving for peace in the world, but they do not know how to implement that peace formula. The United Nations has been striving for peace for so many years, but still war is going on." (On the Way to Krishna)

"Now a United Nations has been constructed to help end war, but war is going on in Vietnam, in Egypt, in Pakistan and other places. No one wants a Third World War, but it seems imminent. It is not possible to send a fire brigade, a few men with buckets of water, to extinguish a great fire in the forest." (Elevation to Krishna Consciousness)

"The nations are trying to be united; in your country there is the United Nations. Unfortunately, instead of the nations becoming united, the flags are increasing. Similarly, India was once one country, Hindustan. Now there is also Pakistan. And some time in the future there will be Sikhistan and then some other ‘stan'." (Journey of Self Discovery)

"The United Nation organization, they want to unite. For the last twenty years the United Nations are trying to unite, but the result is we are disunited. Instead of making one flag, the flags are increasing every year. ‘This is Pakistan, this is Hindustan, this is this, this is that, this is...' They are not united. How they can be united? They cannot be united." (Lecture, Jun 27, 1974)

End of conference with the Yoga Masters also provided Sri Sri Radhanath's photo op with Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. That yogi on the right apparently represents the school of karma yoga.
