Unfortunately the local temple authorities don't even follow the Resolutions of their own "toothless tiger" GBC. A quick scan around the websites of the worldwide centres at www.iskconcenters.com will show that 99% do not have Srila Prabhupada's photo and correct title at the top 'mast-head' of the homepage, as per GBC Resolution 304. BTW, they've had many days since the March 2013 meetings to comply.
Yep, Hinduism, that virtually non-denominational, all-embracing culture where you're entitled to worship anyone and everyone, from laughing boy guroos, sloppy hugging ma-guroos, mayavadis and Afro-hairstyle guroos, to every demigod this side of Lord Brahma. And of course just in case you don't miss out on anyone who you think might give you salvation or a good lifestyle, you can even throw Gandhi, Jesus Christ and even Santa Claus into the mix (sorry, I mean altar).
Get your car and personal belongings blessed at "The Manor" and while there, why not try a traditional Hindu wedding, complete with "bride reveal"? They have obviously set the new standard of deviation, or mission drift to put it more politely. But for all those other centres that may feel discouraged that they've missed the money train, fear not, as speculation is rife in this society. Just use your God-given imagination a bit more. All with the blessings of the GBC of ISHCON.
