The Real Problem in ISKCON is the Ambition of Wanting to be a Guru

BY: MAHASRNGA DASA

Jan 16, 2012 — USA (SUN) — I can't help reading between the lines of Nataraja prabhus article that by cloning (clowning) the party line, he hopes to get enough votes to get into the present day illusion of the guru-parampara. Common sense has flown the coop.

This "living guru" term first came to light when the 11 Zonal "Acaryas" were trying to take over the movement. Anyone who fought, debated or tried to discuss with them about how Srila Prabhupada says the guru never dies but lives forever in his words, were literally kicked out of the movement.

After the infamous 11 had numerous problems imitating a guru, the powers that be just added another hundred or so, concocting a Kali Yuga system of democratic voting, by conditions souls, of those faithful who will be allowed into the disciplic succession from Lord Sri Krsna.

Although certainly not "ritvik" according to Srila Prabhupada's definition and parameters, the present system of adding ‘pure devotees' to the parampara is not only ludicrous but downright insane. This has never been done in the history that Prabhupada taught us, and is a rubber stamping process only to keep the top heavy leaders employed.

"The meaning of taking disciples is to HAVE a parampara" is another concoction disguised as a bottom kissing, for a step up the latter. Disciple means to follow the order of the spiritual master and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see the leaders of ISKCON, have not.

The misunderstanding of "if you become a disciple in parampara automatically that means that you should be Guru" is not that you "automatically" become a diksa guru. I've been a guru since 1974, when I began passing out Srila Prabhupada's books. But a vartma padarsaka guru, for God's sake.

The ambition sickness of wanting to become a "diksa" guru has been a disqualification for actually becoming one, which anyone can see who's still counting falldowns of impersonators who have shattered tens of thousands of spiritual lives since 1978.

Saying, "Why there are so many discussions after some of the guru fall", really shows a lack of reading or understanding Srila Prabhupada's books. His Divine Grace has stated that "gurus do not fall down" so the reality is that these devotees who fall down while masquerading as a guru were simply not "diksa" gurus. Period!!!

This "re-initiating" term is also a modern day Kali Yuga term started when the first of the 11 bottomed out. The greediness of picking up potential collectors from "fallen gurus" became a frenzy competition that became a global vacuuming effect, which still goes on today.

The latest concocted phenomenon, "Devotees should be trained to become Guru", which, believe it or not has become a reality with the "authentic sovereign" ‘gurus', remaining truthful to the intimate clandestine GBC, one can actually go to "guru school" to become authorized.

This insanity will not stop until we follow the order, take shelter of and seriously read Srila Prabhupada's books. I doubt if it will change before I exit stage left, but pray that I can return in my next life to help clear up this preposterous imitation of what Prabhupada wanted.
