From Guru's Mouth to Disciple's Ear

BY: NATARAJA DASA

Jan 13, 2012 — SPAIN (SUN) — The Rtviks are now very active and they are in JOY after Prabhavisnu Swami's falldown. They say 'only a liberated person can be guru'. I say no. The Vedas say that there are different types of guru, and that there should be a living guru.

I will answer the arguments that only a liberated man can be guru – so there are no liberated souls after Srila Prabhupada, so reject your bogus gurus and so on. I will answer like Madhvacarya has answered to the Mayavadis:

nangikrtabhidha yasya laksana tasya no bhavet
nasti gramah kutah sima na putro janakam vina

"In examining the power of words, it is seen that where direct meaning is not accepted, interpretation also has no place. Where there exists no village, can one argue about its extent or size? Where there is no father, can one speak of his son?" (Tattvamuktavali 22)

Parampara in Sanskrit means parampara. Guru means guru. Guru parampara means GURU PARAMPARA. From guru to disciple, and then later, from disciple to the next disciple. Short and simple.

If there was no living guru, how can one speak about living disciples? When there is no GURU'S MOUTH, how can one speak about direct knowledge in the DISCIPLE'S EAR?

    iti susruma dhiranam

"If the direct meaning is rejected in relation to spiritual matters, then what use is interpretation of the same words, which must depend ultimately upon the direct meaning? Therefore the intelligent man will reject interpretation and accept the direct connotative power of the words of the scriptures in trying to understand the absolute truth." (Mahaprabhura Siksa by Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakur)

Therefore, I reject the Rtvik interpretation of Srila Prabhupada's words, teachings, meanings and context. I reject your interpretation of the teachings of Srila Prabhupada (because your separate quotes taken from the summum of Srila Prabhupada's teaching are just interpretation), foremost not because you yourselves are not liberated souls (and therefore you should just shut up and not try to interpret anything - according your own logic) but because you Rtviks ARE SIMPLY WRONG.

You kill the Vedas. You kill the Vedic knowledge. Vedic knowledge comes from Guru's mouth to disciple's ear in parampara. This is the Vedic process of receiving knowledge.

And your interpretation of Srila Prabhupada's teachings kills this Vedic principle. You make guru dead. You say - good guru dead guru. No one is liberated, no one should be trusted. You are like perfect Kali celas.

ya adikavaye tene hrda brahma-sanatanam
sa caitanyah kalau saksad amarjit tam matam subham
vipralipsa pramadas ca karanapatavam bhramah
manusanam vicaresu syad dhi dosa catustayam
tad-adhoksaja-tattvesu durnivaryam budhair api
apauruseya-vakhyani pramanam tatra kevalam
pratyaksam anumanam ca tad adhinataya kvacit

"Lord Caitanya, who bestowed the Vedic knowledge unto the heart of Brahma, has appeared in Kali Yuga in Navadvipa. He has revealed the pure essence of the Vedas, freeing the pure Vedic philosophy from the contamination of Kali Yuga. The human being in concluding anything must certainly indulge in the four faults of error, omission, limitation and cheating. In relation to spiritual matters, even the greatest learned men cannot avoid these four defects. Therefore, in spiritual matters, the only authority is the word of Veda, which has no human author." (Mahaprabhura Siksa by Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakur)

apauruseya-vakhyani pramanam tatra kevalam

And do not argue with such arguments as: 'We can listen Srila Prabhupada's lectures, we can read Srila Prabhupada's books, we can...' What will happen when there will not be Srila Prabhupada's audio tapes and Srila Prabhupada's books? Like in the Soviet Union (before), or in North Korea (now)? Looks like Rtvik teachings are only functional where Kali yuga's technologies are in use. Real Kali chelas.

Sorry for the hard words, but you Rtviks deserve it. And if you really love truth - VEDIC TRUTH - you will become Guru and you will accept disciples and you will reveal the essence of Srila Prabhupada's teachings in guru-parampara to your disciples for the sake of spreading Lord Caitanya's mission in the way the Vedas teach - GURU PARAMPARA.

Become Guru - take your Rtvik nonsense away. And if you cannot be Guru, don't say that others cannot. And if others fall down, this is only a symptom, that to be Guru is not a cheap thing.

With best regards,

Your servant,
Nataraja dasa
